Alexa Fluor 488 labeled Insulin is one of Nanocs fluorescent insulin conjugates. Nanocs provides a variety of chemically functionalized and bioconjugated Insulin with different functionality, including biotin Insulin, fluorescein labeled insulin, rhodamine, Cy3, Cy5, Cy5.5 and many other fluorophore labeled insulin conjugates. These functional Insulin products were purified by size chromatography to remove non-conjugated molecules and ensure adequate applications both in-vitro and in-vivo.

Maleimide PEG NHS is a heterobifunctional PEG derivative that can react with both thiol and amine groups. NHS esters react with deprotonated primary amines, therefore, the reaction requires neutral to basic pH values to proceed. The maleimide group reacts with available –SH groups from naturally occurring or mutagenically derived cysteine residues. Maleimide groups react with sulfhydryl groups at pH 6.5~7.5 at room temperature to form stable thioether bonds.

Physical Properties:

  • Off-white/white solid or viscous liquid depends on molecule weight;
  • Soluble in regular aqeous solution as well as most organic solvents;

Storage Conditions:

Product Description:

Carbonylacrylic PEG Cy5 is one of Nanocs' thiol reactive fluorescent PEG derivatives that have a strong near infrared fluorescent Cyanine 5 fluorophore on its terminus. Similar to Maleimide, carbonylacrylic group reacts with thiol group quickly to form a stable thiol ether bond via so called ene-thiol Michael addition. Unlike maleimide-thiol adduct, the reaction between carbonylacrylic acid and thiol is non-reversible, and therefore the adduct is more stable for carbonylacrylic acid thiol conjuate. Carbonylacrylic acid reagents have been excellent reagents for site-specific Cysteine modification. Cy5, on the other hand, is a bright near infrared fluorescent dye that can be easily traced by its strong fluorescent light. The excitation/emission wavelength of this fluorescent PEG is 650/670 nm.
